Our slip leads come in thin (6mm) and thick (8mm) widths and either one can be used on any sized dog as they have a break strength of 1700kg.

Which size is best for my dog?
Snoot slips come in both 6mm and 8mm thickness.
You can use either size with your dog, big and small. For large, strong dogs, the 6mm (thin) may be better suited to them as it has less surface area. See our instruction sheet below to ensure the lead is fitted correctly as it is important!
Is the rope durable?
Our slips are made of a UV stabilised double braided polyester rope that has been break tested to over 1700kg. This rope is used by equestrians and has been for a number of years to make lead ropes, reigns, head halters and more.
Is it just a collar and lead in one?
Nope! Snoot slips can also be used as a head halter. Simply put the loop over your dogs head, leaving excess rope hanging off their neck. Twist the hanging area of rope once to create a second loop, and slide the loop over your dog’s snout. Remove the slack and use the stopper to secure the slip/halter on the nape of your dog’s neck.
